Farewell to 2015

December 31, 2015

Greetings, Citizens of the Universe!

Well, it’s the last day of 2015 (or the first day of 2016, depending on where you are). How has it been for you? Hopefully, you’re not dealing with a cold like I am! XD

A Post-Thanksgiving Feast of News

December 2, 2015

Greetings, Citizens of the Universe!

How have you been all this time? Me, I’ve been juggling a few projects and fighting off a major case of burnout. (I think it’s starting to show in recent posts again.)

Seeing as it was around Thanksgiving, I decided to give myself a slight impromptu break from all of the blogging I’ve been doing. It’s a rather heavy time in the fandom anyway, what with the graduations and YouTube Red situation and all (and don’t get me started on other current events)…

Anyway, here’s some news! Read the rest of this entry »

The Not-So-Little Merman

September 16, 2015

Like the Little Mermaid, he gave up his voice to be able to stand on his feet again, all for the sake of something intangibly precious: his life.

Greetings, Citizens of the Universe!

How have you all been? My weeks was rather quiet. Following 9/9 was C-ute Day on the 10th and Juice=Juice’s major debut anniversary on the 11th. Over the weekend, we also celebrated my brother’s birthday 10 days early.

All of those times were sweet, but I’m afraid I have some bad news (though in he words of Amy Can Flyy, “everybody knows that”).

La roi est muet, vive le roi !

April 8, 2015

[4/7/2015 1:26:39 AM | Edited 1:26:58 AM] Kathryn Barnes: Now I have a _new_ monkey wrench thrown in my blogging mojo:

Remember when I asked how you would feel if a producer of a group you follow had his vocal chords removed?
[4/7/2015 1:27:21 AM] Popsicle Frost (Lem): Barely…Did they actually do it?
[4/7/2015 1:28:35 AM] Kathryn Barnes: http://idolminded.com/
[4/7/2015 1:29:59 AM] Popsicle Frost (Lem): 😦 That’s so sad…But, I hope he keeps truckin’ on like Beethoven and making tunes just like he did.
[4/7/2015 1:36:57 AM] Kathryn Barnes: This… This is a big shock to me.

If I may… One of my deepest fears is going blind. There are times when I fear that I am, even with my myopia. I also fear going deaf, which would lave me unable to enjoy art and music.

I also fear not being able to move. I’m just a big ball of fears.

One of my greatest fears is going insane. I dread the day that I lose complete touch with reality and in act, my “everybody is crazy” philosophy is partially a way of coping with that fear.
[4/7/2015 1:38:02 AM] Kathryn Barnes: When I saw winds of this on Twitter, I didn’t want to believe it. It was before April so I believed it was an early April Fools prank.

Sadly, it isn’t. Tsunku’s voice is gone, lost to cancer. Granted, he can still compose music and whatnot, but he a never speak again… and can never sing again.
[4/7/2015 1:38:17 AM] Popsicle Frost (Lem): 😦

The preceding was an excerpt from a Skype conversation I had one night (posted with my friend’s permission of course), my near-immediate reaction when I found out the news. I had just finished the post about the PV controversy (which was killing my ability to work on the rest of the Berryz Memorial Survey posts).

October 16, 2014

Since the Golden Audition post got a follow-up post, might as well give one to the “C-Word” post.

Ping Pong Pinpoint Precision Past Perspective – Part I

May 18, 2014

Warning: There will be a LOT of YouTube videos in this series, which may cause some browsers to lag and/or crash. You’ve been warned. If I missed anything, let me know.

Greetings, Magical Meteorites and other Earthlings who happened to drop by! As noted in a previous post, I am going to cover the interim of my hiatus (March 2009-February 2014) in a special series of posts.

So welcome to the Precision Past Perspective Edition of Ping Pong Pinpoint.

According to Time and Date.com, it has been (with the final date itself in parenthesis)…

  • 4 years, 10 months, 27 days (4 years, 10 months, 28 days)
  • 155,001,600 (155,088,000) seconds
  • 2,583,360 (2,584,800) minutes
  • 43,056 (43,080) hours
  • 1794 (1795) days
  • 256 weeks (rounded down)

…since my last contact. (I’m not counting that rather useless Stay Tuned post, which I may delete at a later time. It should’ve been a page.) Therefore, we have a lot to cover (or in some cases, relive) so let’s get the show on the road, shall we?
