A Late Bloomer Girl’s Counterattack ~ Love together!

February 20, 2015

Warning: This post contains YouTube videos which may cause crashes.
Greetings, Magical Meteorites and other Citizens of the Universe!

If you’ve been around the stratosphere, then you’d know that over the past few weeks, a few new videos have dropped!

  • The very nice MV finale for the Berryz, Love together!, from their new boxset.
  • The MVs for the A-sides to ANGERME’s new single: Taiki Bansei/Otome no Gyakushuu.

With the concert debuts of Morning Musume’s Golden Girls (and the upcoming PreCure tie-in), the speeding up of the debut of the Country Girls, and the brand spanking new group formed (the suspense regarding the name is extended due to “circumstances”), Hello! Project started the year off with a bang. (They really know how to keep us bloggers busy, especially during this time of the year.) For us H!P fans (and idol fans in general with the buzz in their quadrants), this is akin to the Super Bowl. (Of course, for Japanese music fans, the past Kouhaku event pretty much is that.)

Between current events and personal stuff, it has taken a slight toll on my productivity and (particularly) my ability to dissect MVs and such. On a more “relevant” note, some things that have eaten my attention as of late was working on the Chocolate Soul Disco mini-series (which was for Valentine’s Day and the one year anniversary of M3’s revival) and the MSS Results Show. I wanted to give the news and MVs their proper attention, which is why I was somewhat avoidant. (That and with the massive changes, they needed a proper amount of attention. Regardless, I need to make an M3 version of this memetic picture that sums up one of my goals for 2015.)

Eighteen Emotional Mystery Nights!

June 28, 2014

If this single gets my blog flagged as mature and knocked out of potential future endeavors, this’ll be on your head. Not my fault I am obligated to review your stuff out of fanlove and criticism.

In the sweltering lateness of spring, after the strangeness of Ee Ka?! and the sorrow of Ii Yatsu, we greet S/mileage in the new year with yet another double whammy.

It may shock some with the content and come back down to earth for a landing afterwards, but such is the way of the idol wave. Such is the way of music.

Ping Pong Pinpoint Precision Past Perspective – Part I

May 18, 2014

Warning: There will be a LOT of YouTube videos in this series, which may cause some browsers to lag and/or crash. You’ve been warned. If I missed anything, let me know.

Greetings, Magical Meteorites and other Earthlings who happened to drop by! As noted in a previous post, I am going to cover the interim of my hiatus (March 2009-February 2014) in a special series of posts.

So welcome to the Precision Past Perspective Edition of Ping Pong Pinpoint.

According to Time and Date.com, it has been (with the final date itself in parenthesis)…

  • 4 years, 10 months, 27 days (4 years, 10 months, 28 days)
  • 155,001,600 (155,088,000) seconds
  • 2,583,360 (2,584,800) minutes
  • 43,056 (43,080) hours
  • 1794 (1795) days
  • 256 weeks (rounded down)

…since my last contact. (I’m not counting that rather useless Stay Tuned post, which I may delete at a later time. It should’ve been a page.) Therefore, we have a lot to cover (or in some cases, relive) so let’s get the show on the road, shall we?
