Grand Prix and Anniversary Vote – The Results!

Updated December 8, 2018

Greetings, Citizens of the Universe!

Long time no see, eh?

…Yeah, I do realize it’s been a while. Between burnout/fatigue rearing their ugly heads, wavering feelings regarding Hello! Project as a whole messing with me (yet my sense of fandom’s been kept alive by the wonderful Discord communities I’ve joined, namely H!P Chat and H!P Fans …I really ought to join the H!P Wiki one… Been putting it off for what may be (in the end) silly reasons…), and… just life stuff.

However, there has been a constant– two constants that have anchored this particular blog in the midst of the chaos between the outgoing old and incoming new members: the Momusu M3 Grand Prix and the Anniversary Review Vote!

As such, we have some things to cover.

Momusu M3 Grand Prix

Since Thanksgiving’s come and gone (to the chagrin of everyone outside the US), I now feel comfortable restarting the Singles Final Round Runoff. In case you didn’t know, the Singles Tournament ended in a stalemate and a series of runoff polls will be conducted via Twitter to determine the winner.

12/4 Update!

It’s that time again and it turns out shortening the period helped!

(This will certainly be a boon, what with the Tumblrpocalypse happening and all. I may just end up finally opening a proper Twitter account for M3. Stay tuned for that if it happens.)

Anyway…

I am pleased to report that the first set of runoff polls ended with clear advancement.

Here are the results of Part 1:

  1. Mr.Moonlight ~Ai no Big Band~ (50%)
  2. Help me!! (50%)
  3. Sexy Cat no Enzetsu / Mukidashi de Mukiatte / Sou ja nai (0%)
  4. Ai Araba IT’S ALL RIGHT (0%)

And Part 2

  1. Kimagure Princess (50%)
  2. Kanashimi Twilight (50%)
  3. Shouganai Yume Oibito (0%)
  4. Koi no Dance Site (0%)

Voting is now on for the next part of the runoff, which will (hopefully) decide the winner:

Good luck to the remaining singles!

12/8 Update!

And we finally have a winner!

The second runoff vote ended with these results:

  1. Help me!! (50%)
  2. Mr.Moonlight ~Ai no Big Band~ (25%)
  3. Kimagure Princess (25%)
  4. Kanashimi Twilight (0%)

Taken all together, the Singles Tournament Finals look like this:

  1. Help me!! (50%)
  2. Mr.Moonlight ~Ai no Big Band~ (33%)
  3. Kimagure Princess (33%)
  4. Kanashimi Twilight (17%)

Needless to say, but the grand champion of the Momusu Singling Out Tourney is the Lower Middle Bracket winner Help me!!. Congrats!

Q4 Anniversary Review Vote

Much like last time (yeah…), the Review Vote came and went before ending with one pillar of a winner. The results speak for themselves:

Yet another one who flew the coop. Now she’s part of a baseball cheer squad.
  1. C-ute – FOREVER LOVE (1 – 100%)
  • Mano Erina – Lucky Aura (0 – 0%)
  • Milkyway – Tan Tan Taan! (0 – 0%)
  • Berryz Koubou – MADAYADE (0 – 0%)
  • Buono! – Rottara Rottara (0 – 0%)
  • Abe Natsumi – Screen (0 – 0%)
  • Shugo Chara Egg! – Minna no Tamago (0 – 0%)
  • Mano Erina – Lalala-Sososo (0 – 0%)

Coming soon is a review of the next C-ute single after Edo no Temari Uta II, FOREVER LOVE. Please look forward to it!

Final Thoughts

Not much I can say except… see you next time! (Knowing my current pace, it’ll probably be with the C-ute review….)

Until then!

One Response to Grand Prix and Anniversary Vote – The Results!

  1. […] As previously reported, the winner of the Q4 vote with one singular vote is once again C-ute! This time, the release in question is the next single after Edo no Temari Uta II, FOREVER LOVE. Released on November 26, 2008, it is the last single to feature Arihara Kanna before the Bunion Saga began in February 2009 (which was a sign of things to come before the tumultuous year for them that was 2011).
