Fresh, Ageless and Evergreen: Tsubaki Factory’s New Blooms

Love soft as an easy chair
Love fresh as the morning air
One love that is shared by two
I have found with you

Greetings, Citizens of the Universe!

As mentioned on Tuesday’s post, we will continue our coverage of the Tsubakis this week because something big happened a few weeks ago.

Announced at their fanclub event on August 3rd, Tsubaki Factory announced their second generation members.

Like a rose under the April snow
I was always certain love would grow
Love ageless and evergreen
Seldom seen by two

Ono Mizuho (小野瑞歩)
Onoda Saori (小野田紗栞)
Akiyama Mao (秋山眞緒)

You and I will make each night a first
Every day a beginning
Spirits rise and their dance is unrehearsed
They warm and excite us, cause we have the brightest love

As stated in Kame‘s post:

According to Shimizu Saki, it seems like each of the members has a unique talent. With Onoda having a sense of transparency, Akiyama having a dancing ability, and Ono having a nice smile.

As noted on a Tumblr post (which will get a fresh rendition once enough time has gone by), this updates the Test Recital Winner stats as follows:

  • 2 honorees (8.33%) was placed in a group that is still among the Kenshuusei (Kishimoto Yumeno, Akiyama Mao).
  • 7 honorees (38.10%) remain in the program to this day (Danbara Ruru, Kaga Kaede, Ichioka Reina, Horie Kizuki, Inoue Hikaru, Kiyono Momohime, Takase Kurumi).

Note: The last stat doesn’t include Tsubaki Factory members for clarity sake.

I wish them the best in their future endeavors.

Feel free to discuss them further as they were the topic of a recent M3 Mystery!

Two lives that shine as one
Morning glory and midnight sun
Time we’ve learned to sail above
Time won’t change the meaning of one love
Ageless and ever, evergreen

  1. Kame says:

Definitely excited about them joining the group!

  2. Chanting says:

I’m excited for how they’ll change the member dynamics and genres of songs they get. Cuz that always seems to happen with MM (though not so much with ANGERME).

Haven’t heard enough of them to really like any of these freshies though.

  3. […] Fortunately, next week came out with more positivity as the Ice Fairy Festival was announced on the blog. Sadly, this euphoria was not to last as two J-pop legends announced their disbandment within days: SMAP and C-ute. The mood was hopefully lightened by the 2016 Ice Fairy Festival, the linchpin post of which also acting as the debut of first part of the Powerpuff Musume ’16 series. The quarter then ended with the Camellias with a spotlight on their MVs and their new members. […]

  5. […] So without further ado, let’s dig into Tsubaki Factory #1 (or #4 if you count the indies), featuring the first appearance of the three new blooms! […]

  6. […] Akiyama became a Kenshuusei in May 2015 during that year’s test event. She has remained in the program until August 2016 when she was added to Tsubaki Factory. […]
