Farewell to 2015

Greetings, Citizens of the Universe!

Well, it’s the last day of 2015 (or the first day of 2016, depending on where you are). How has it been for you? Hopefully, you’re not dealing with a cold like I am! XD

Earlier today, Sayashi Riho graduated from Morning Musume ’15, her mother group ringing in a new year with a new name.

This came a week after Tamura Meimu announced her graduation from ANGERME, which came nearly a month after Fukuda Kanon.

In spite of the tears, there’s some joy this week.

This was the tip of the iceberg! Tsunku also won an award.

2015 marked the formation of the Factories, along with the debut of one. H!P has also been kicking butt in the promotional department (YouTube Red blackout aside).

This year was also a busy one for me. Between me tackling other projects and expanding my brand, along with the debut of M3’s Tumblr side-blog and Facebook page.

What goals and aspirations do I have for 2016? Well, there’s the bettering of this blog for starters. I hope to be blogging for five years and beginning in 2014, I have three more years on me. I also hope to incorporate more art-related content to better distinguish this blog from the myriad of others.

To start, there’s the “Powerpuff Musume” project, based on a (now lost) series of pic where I drew past and current Morning Musume in the style of The Powerpuff Girls. (Seeing as it was 2003/2004, such a task was a lot easier.) This rendition will begin with Sayashi Riho in her gorgeousness and continue with her generation mates. One additional element is that the outfits and order is going to be picked by you:

I’m also considering a Tamura Meimi fanart showcase, either here or on the Tumblr. I’ll be better about the details once we get a definite date for her graduation.

To end it all, I’m going to show the 2015 annual report for this blog , courtesy of the WordPress.com stats helper monkeys.

Here’s an excerpt:

A New York City subway train holds 1,200 people. This blog was viewed about 3,900 times in 2015. If it were a NYC subway train, it would take about 3 trips to carry that many people.

Until the next one!

One Response to Farewell to 2015

  1. […] M3’s previous anniversary was marred by two things: the YouTube Red Scare and the announcement of Sayashi Riho’s graduation. That informed the rather somber post-Cake Day mood on the blog. Compounding this was Fukuda Kanon’s then-impending graduation, encapsuled by posts about fan tributes and her final single as an idol. New faces came around to counteract the departures with two new Country Girls and a literal Moekko from Kumamoto (and I write this on the 6 month anniversary of the earthquakes…). Thanksgiving was marked with a digest post (the result of burnout and busyness), a failed contest post dissecting my love for idols, and more news. 2015 was officially closed off with the obligatory review post.
