What one fan considered the apex of Sayumi’s career/tenure was the change in aura upon Reina’s departure. She seemed to have become mature after she graduated, a true leader. What was considered the low point was the amount of focus on Sayumi during interviews and near the end of her time. Granted, that might’ve been an unfortunate side-effect of Sayu being the most popular, but “things just seemed a little more Sayumi oriented than they should have been for a leader.” Regardless, there is nothing they’d want to change and no final thoughts, save for one thing: the fondest memory being of Sayu seeming happiest when with fellow Rokkies Reina and Eri.

~

Well, we’ve come to the end of this survey and while the data was comprehensive (and somewhat flawed, I apologize), there was a lot said. This all provides a snapshot into Sayu’s career and legacy, along with Morning Musume history as a whole. Thank you for your feedback and being along for the ride.

What will happen now in the post-Sayumi era of Momusu, christened Morning Musume ’15 with Fukumura Mizuki at the helm? Well, to quote the song I’m listening to as I write this:

Make-believes reborn
Myths in minds re-thought
Question all that’s known
Legends blurred and torn

Peace,
―Magi-Kat
